TestimonialsTestimonial #1 Cecilia, :) Kristine & Aaron @Proud parents of baby Zaydeen Testimonial #2 Dear Cecilia Thank you for launching such an informative website for all of us. As a mother of three, I personally have benefited a lot from it. The topics you posted were relevant for the daily care of our young ones. Your highlight on 'HFMD in babies and young children' was a good one as we all know that the HFMD is currently in-town and the question parents would normally ask is ...How to handle it? Cecilia, thank you once again. Keep-it-up! And I'll login from time-to-time to read your articles. Mrs. H S Lee Testimonial #3 When I left the hospital a week after my son was born, I had no clue how to handle him. I was hoping to learn from my confinement nanny but due to post delivery complications I did not have the opportunity to do so. Hence my nightmare started when my confinement period was over. How do I change my baby’s nappies? How do I hold my baby and at the same time wash his hair and bathe him? How do I hold my baby whilst feeding him, where do I position his head, his body etc etc? What do I do if he refuses to feed? How do I burp him? What do I do when he keeps crying? How do I wrap him to make him comfortable whilst he sleeps? How do I rid the wind in his stomach? My advice to first time mothers who may be facing similar questions is to click on Babiesconsult.com. This fabulous website provides idiot proof guide on how to actually handle my baby. I find description by words alone may not be clear and comprehensible. It can also be misinterpreted leaving one at a lost and frustrated. Thus the pictures on this website gives me step-by-step guide and shows me exactly what to do. It leaves no doubt in my mind what the writer means. As my baby grows bigger month after month, this website continues to provide invaluable guide on how to care for my baby further. Tips on how to feed him medicine is useful when he gets feverish after his jabs. I particularly enjoy reading Cecilia’s write up on when and how to feed solid food. And she’s right, I’ve been eating my baby’s left over porridge ever since I started cooking them for him. I now look forward to learning from the website on how to bathe him when he is able to sit in the tub. At seven months old, my baby still appreciates the massage I give him especially before he sleeps at night. Thanks Cecilia for imparting your invaluable knowledge especially to first time mothers like me. What would I have done without you. Foo Hui Ling Testimonial #4 I recently met up with Cecilia during the Chinese New Year break and had a refreshing chat over tea. It had been slightly more than 3 years since Craig had to “leave” her care and join the mainstream journey. How time flies. You see, Cecilia has a “first two years with me policy” and then the child has got to move on so that his development will not be impeded by joining nursery schooling. Craig joined Cecilia at month 3 and had a wonderful two years under her care. Destiny brought two persons together in the sense that they bonded well until Cecilia declared Craig as her “Godchild”. And it was a wonder to me because Cecilia always told me of her preference for girl babies as they tend to be better behaved! Cecilia provided us first time parents with good advice, not just physical but also mental development. With her nursing background, we were least worried when Craig fell sick as we could be certain that medication would be administered according to doctor’s instructions. Cecilia taught the children how to sing and mental stimulation appropriate to their age. With her introduction, we also enrolled Craig on a child’s music program. We have not looked back since then and we know Craig has a love for music till today. Looking back and recalling those anxieties, we agreed that some decisions were hard to understand but as she said “you have to be cruel to be kind.” All the best to you, Cecilia. Regards Adrian and Craig Hong Testimonial #5 Being trained in western medicine, I've always been skeptical about traditional medications. When my first child was born, I realised there were some conditions where there was no western medications indicated e.g. night crying. This was when I sought Cecilia's advice which proved to be invaluable. She is a well of knowledge when it comes to traditional practices for infant and postnatal care. I really appreciate her experience and information. Thank you very much, Cecilia. Mrs Chin (Pharmacist) Testimonial #6
Thank you from Bernadette LF Chiew Testimonial #7 I was alone and pregnant in a foreign country! This can be daunting for the best of us. One of my biggest concerns was taking care of my baby after he was born. Finally, things settled when my husband joined me in Malaysia... now we were together but in a foreign country and our baby was on his way! In our scouting around, we heard of a friend's relative who runs a day care for a baby as young as two months... it sounded promising but being a first time anxious parent, I was very skeptical. Cecilia is a trained nurse and her advice is very valuable as we are first time parents who have only common sense to guide us. In fact I learnt how to “professionally” handle a baby from Cecilia. Thank you from Vedanth, Sri and Partha (Mumbai) Previous Guestbook EntriesWhen I first started this website, I had a guest book but since it was quite a problem for most people to sign the guest book I decided to remove it. In appreciation for those who took the trouble to sign in I have managed to retrieve it so here it is. |
