Handy Tips

Washing up after eating cakes

With so many birthdays a year at the Centre, I find it a chore to wash up dishes after the party. I do not use disposable plates because it is difficult for the children to handle and it increases rubbish for disposal which is bad for our environment. Recently my sister in law gave me this tip which I thought would be useful to share with you.

This is what the bowl or plate looks like after the cake has been eaten

The cream is oily and sticky so it is difficult to clean especially if you do not have hot water.

Wipe the cream off with tissue paper

See how the cream floats in the water in the bowl on the left compared to the bowl that has been wiped off with tissues
