Getting The Best For Your Baby And You

Being pregnant or having just had a baby, you may be faced with the dilemma of whether to use modern or traditional practices during pregnancy and the postnatal confinement period in order to give both you and baby the best of care.

Both methods have their own merits and what works for some may not work for others because everyone is an individual. Maybe we should use both methods as a complement to each other rather than against each other. Therefore, I hope that the information here will help you in your decisions.

Last but not least, I would like to dedicate this website to all you mothers and mothers to be and of course to the papas without whose help, we will not be able to become mothers.

Eczema

Eczema, also called atopic dermatitis, is a skin rash that usually shows up on a baby's forehead, cheeks, and scalp but it can spread to the arms, legs, chest, or other parts of the body. The rash may look like dry, thickened scaly skin, or it may be made up of tiny red bumps that can blister, ooze, or become infected if scratched. Conventional treatment is to apply creams and lotions which most times temporarily ease the condition.
